Regular Expressions, join the match collection RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

I think I don't have to explain how to use regular expression in Excel VBA. The matchcollection contains several results after the execution which is OK. Now, I am looking for a faster way to return all items in the matchcollection. I know how to loop through the collection and join the items but I was wondering if there is no faster way.

My simple mind thought to assign it to a variant but that doesn't work. Any idea how this can be done?

    TIA.

    Kind regards,

    JP Ronse

  • There is no built-in way to join the elements of a collection, so it is necessary to loop through its items.
