visual studio does not remember last opened files RRS feed

  • Hi , recently visual studio 2008 got some security update (thru windows update) and since then every time i open our solution it does not load files opened in the last session !!! anyone has fix for this ? it becoming quite painful to open all the files.

    The problem sounds like that Visual Studio Solution User Options file (namely *.suo) is lost or corrupted.
    It is a hidden protected operating system file that located at the same directory with solution file(*.sln).

    So please make sure that current Windows user have write permission to that folder.
    And check out if Visual Studio is "Run as Administrator" and also have that write permission, or blocked by any anti-Virus, anti-Spyware.
