Customize .net framework 3.5 installation RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello,
What's the best way to customize the user experience when installing .net framework 3.5. SCE Reader starter kit has a custom bootstrapper for .net framework 3.0 wich can by customized by providing slides during installations, by running a prerequisite MSI and a payload MSI. The bad thing is that I cannot find the source for this installer [it's caled dotnetinstaller, and is situated in the Bootstrap folder] and customize it for .net framework 3.5. I don't like the default .net framework installer because when running with /passive command argument it provides only a progressbar [with no informations at all about the size downloaded and download speed] and this can be very frustrating for users that wait to download a 60 mb package.
