I have a scenario in which I am attempting to find a solution for. I have looked at Sync and I like what I see but I am not sure that it will completely be able to help us in our case.
Multiple SQL Server 2008 R2 databases located around the world. High rate sensor data is streamed live to a master FILESTREAM database in a single location. I want this data distributed to the other databases with minimum latency and minimum usage of bandwidth.
Even though I have a master database, I also want to be able to modify some parts of the data (mainly metadata) at any location and these changes to be merged back into the master database and back out to the other databases.
I would be interested to hear any discussions around how this could be achieved, with Sync or any other technology?
