Outlook 2010: Form Region fields to mimic Appointment item RRS feed

  • Question

  • The Appointment item have dropdown controls for date and time, is it possible to add these to a form region?

All I find is Start and End fields that only are normal textfields and not the nice dropdown fields. Or do I have to add a dropdown myself, bind it to the start field and by code add all possible dates to it? What's a good solution for this?

What I want to do is use a Form Region that replaces the original Appointment form for a certain message class. So I really want it to behave the same to a large degree, but I don't need all the default fields.

  • Add the OLK* controls to your form controls, there is an OLK* date time picker you can use. See http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dd492010.aspx#Outlook2007ProgrammingCh5_ControlsForFormRegions
