Inconsistency in Accelerometer ReportInterval=0 behavior on 8.1

    Question

  • I have an app that sets the Accelerometer.ReportInterval to 0 when I navigate away from certain pages, or when the user presses a button that requests it to be turned off.  That all works fine.

However, when the app suspends, instead of being able to unhook my accelerometer, I get an exception instead.

WinRT information: Error encountered while setting the Current Report Interval property on the sensor.

    Additional information: Element not found.

    Is this expected behaviour?

  • At what point are you trying to unhook?

NOTE: If I ask for code, please provide something that I can drop directly into a project and run (including XAML), or an actual application project. I'm trying to help a lot of people, so I don't have time to figure out weird snippets with undefined objects and unknown namespaces.
