Monitoring state of DB mirroring.... RRS feed

  • Question

  • Once DB mirroring is setup how can one monitor the state of the mirror?  Is there a GUI tool or are t-sql commands needed?

    TIA,

  • Hi,

Yes you can monitor the scripts through t-sql by scheduling sql job, when ever it is not healthy it will notify you in email.

The below one also looks good to me, but you need to write EXEC msdb.dbo.sp_send_dbmail
