VSTO Project 2007 custom properties RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi guys, i was wondering if there is a mechanism to persist a value inside a Project file.

I mean, in word, excel and ppt i used to use the custom properties. Since ms project doesn't support Custom Properties i need to persist a value in a different way.

    I will appreciate any help.

    Thanks in advance.

  • Are you asking as an end user or a programmer?

As a programmer, you can use the DocumentProperties collection to store a persistent value. Use the CustomDocumentProperties.Add method. If you look at the visual basic reference, which you can get to using the menu system in the above link (or Google it) there's an example.

  • According to MSDN's reference, Project does support custom properties. In what way are you having difficulty with them?

  • Just want to keep a value inside a document.

i.e. save a classification or document type base .
