Help with Windows 8 Secondary Tile Pinning

    Question

  • Hi im a student and have put hours into trying to find a solution for a problem that should be easy to fix. I have a Windows 8 app written in HTML / JS that provides playlists of music each with songs, a playlist image, playlist ID and name.

I want to be able to pin a tile that allows the user to quickly locate a mix that contains the mix name and mix image (A url is got by the API and displayed in the app).

My problem is that as i cannot directly pin a url to the image due to restrictions is there a way i am able to save the image to my app data and then reference the now local file? If so what is the code to do this? Im really struggling with this and dont want to settle with all my pinned mixes having the same image.

    Thanks for any help! :)
