BizTalk HIPAA Transaction Set Guide (or similar) for BizTalk 2010? RRS feed

  • Question

  • I read that with an older version of BizTalk (2006) one could get documentation for the HIPAA schemas - a compiled HTML file called "Microsoft BizTalk HIPAA Transaction Set Guide" installed as part of the BizTalk Accelerator for HIPAA.

I'm looking for something similar in BizTalk 2010, i.e. documentation that is closer to the XML HIPAA schemas (such as X12_00501_837_I.xsd and X12_00501_837_P.xsd) rather than the ASC X12 EDI standard docs which describes the raw EDI format.

    Does such documentation exist?

  • The BizTalk Accelerator for HIPAA shipped with .CHM files that documented the HIPAA covered transaction sets, and nicely referenced in context the BizTalk XML Element/Attribute names.

Since the BTSA4H EDI feature set was rolled into BTS proper - this was dropped... and .CHM files have been deprecated in general...

If its important enough, You might be able to contract the original author - WPC(www.wpc-edi.com) to create them for you for 5010... ;-)

I know they sell other .CHM offerings...
