How to built a simple executable file to debug a project using C# RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi
I'm new to .net, I had built a small application using C#,  but when i want to debug it, the following error is displayed in a dialog box,

'A Project with an output type of class library cannot be started directly.
In order to debug this project add an executable project to this solution which references the library project. Set the executable project as the startup project.'

How can this rectified? Plz Help. Thanks!

  • Your project is a.dll. It won't run "standalone"....Create a new Windows Application and add a reference to your dll.
