  •

    Hi

I need to expose sharepoint content into other applications e.g.

I have a ASP.NET 2.0 application and need display the content of the announcements from my sharepoint site onto the ASP.NET 2.0 application.

    I'm currently running WSS 3.0

Is this possible? If so how.

  • "Announcements" is just a list so you can use the Lists web service to get to its contents...

  • I'd recommend using RSS as the integration mechnism if you just need to read data. It will respect security and only render current items (or whatever the RSS setting is on the list). It's also very easy to integrate with RSS.

  • Hi,

You can also use the SharePoint Object Model, but the problem is that the ASP.NET Application will have to reside on the same server as SharePoint.

    Thanks

    Arjuna.
