Is there a way to get PowerShell to tell VS2013 to attach/detach from a process?

    Question

  • I was wondering if I could script VS2013 to that it will attach/detach from a process using PowerShell.  Is it possible?

    I don't mind someone marking a post as "Proposed as answer", but DO NOT mark it as "Answered". If I am the OP, I will decide if a post actually answers my post or not. Thank you.

  • Hi A D R I A N,

    This blog shared us a way to attach to the web process, is it the way you want to get?

    $filter = "*MyWebsite*"

    $w3wp = get-WmiObject Win32_Process -Filter "Name='w3wp.exe'"
    $prid = $w3wp | where { $_.CommandLine -like $filter }

    c:\Windows\System32\vsjitdebugger.exe -p $prid.ProcessId
