    Hello everyboby,

I need information about sharing the session between a classic ASP Application and a ASP.NET application.

    I know this technic http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa479313.aspx on IIS6.

But I 'm wondering if IIS7 provides this features without coding anything?

And if it does, do you have any idea how it implements (using DB, using internal mechanism, ...)?

Any information, link will help me.

    Thanks

    Superfly

There is no native method of sharing session information between ASP.NET and ASP Classic.  The technique in that article works, and you may be able to use cookies that can be read by both, but none of this is an IIS function or issue.

As far as I know, there is no way built into IIS to share session between asp and asp.net.  You could write your own HTTP module in the integrated pipeline and do your magic there, but IIS itself doesn't provide any modules. The MSDN article is a good example.

    Hi,

I'm taking about IIS7, and not about this other version. Because for me it's one of the feature of IIS7.

    Thanks
