What are the differnces in Visual Studio Form compared to Access DB Form RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello,

I am currently a new software developer student and I have limited amount of knowledge with access and visual studio. I notice both offer to create windows forms and both can connect to the (access) database. My question is, are the forms in in the VS and Access exactly the same or are there differences, if so what are the differences?

  • access forms along with their controls are specialized to tie into the Jet/ACE engine and to take advantage of direct connection to the tables/fields. There is much less coding needed because of this native connection. It's been years since I worked with VS so I can't answer to that, but Access was built to be a RAD tool.
