Use powershell to create custom service app instance RRS feed

  • Question

  • I have been doing some searching and I haven't been able to find anything on using Powershell to create instances of custom service apps. Is it possible to do this?

  • When you say a custom service app, do you mean a service application that has been developed and installed in your farm? If so, the PowerShell cmdlets to create instances would be part of this development effort, that is the developers of your custom service application would need to develop cmdlets to set it up using PowerShell unless you can otherwise hook into the dlls.
