Bluetooth performance on Hololens RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

I'd like to know if there is any limit of Hololens's BLE performance in terms of communication interval, receiving speed of tiny packets.

I made a VR/MR peripheral device for Hololens. This device is

    - A set of 2 separated part (2 BLE 4.0 slave)

    - Data packet size is 24 bytes, I have to split it because the BLE 4.0/4.1 limit notification packet size to 20 bytes

    - 50 or more packets per second is desired, 20 packets minimum (ReadAsync is too slow, notification is necessary)

which means, i want to send 80-200 packets of data per second through BLE on Hololens

According to the test, when i connect only 1 BLE device to Hololens, the performance is acceptable.

But when I bring both the 2 part of device, 1 is still fine, but the other part is really slow. like 1 packet per 5-10s.

So my question is, is there a limit of maximum communication frequency in Hololens, and if there is any method to balance the performance when connecting multiple BLE device?

Or, should i just go wifi solution?
