[E2010,E2013][EWS][C#][Windows]: Change the synchronization status of a mail item RRS feed

  • Question

  • I am developing an application that uses EWS to move a collection of selected mail items to a managed folder with the CopyItems() method.  While this method works as expected, it proceeds to then sync the mail items from this managed folder on the server back to the client.  The managed folder is going to be hidden from the user, so there is no need to have this sync process occur.  Is there a way to change the synchronization state on the items I'm copying so that Exchange will ignore them and not perform a sync to the client?  I have looked into creating a sync filter on the folder itself and I believe that would work, but this application will be going to thousands of users, each with their own managed folder, so if I can do this programmatically to have the mail items ignored, that would be ideal.
