LanguageService 9.0 source RRS feed

  • Question

  • I've made a DLL with many classes that derive from the MPF LanguageService classes for the sole purpose of bug fixes and implementing missing features. I was able to compile the LanguageService 9.0 source with my fixes in a new assembly that works with VS2005 and VS2008, and use that assembly instead of Microsoft.VisualStudio.LanguageService[.9.0] for my managed language service. The license terms of that source is unclear. The MPFProj source located in the same folder of the SDK (at least all versions up to 2008 SDK 1.1) is allowed in this usage case. Is the LanguageService source allowed as well? If so, debugging and fixes are so, so much easier.

  • Hello,

Hope the replies in this similar thread can help you:
    MPF license: illegal or not?????

As Aaron in that thread said, "as for specific answers to your licensing questions, unfortunately, we cannot comment on the EULA or other licensing matters.".

    Thanks for your understanding.
