Functions in FROM clause RRS feed

    Is it possible to use functions in the FROM clause? I am trying to use yesterday's log file as the input source.

    Currently I have it hardcoded as:
    FROM D:\Program\u0020Files\WebLog\u0020Expert\LogCache\ex0401*.log

    In theory, what I think I want is something along the lines of:
    FROM STRCAT('D:\Program\u0020Files\WebLog\u0020Expert\LogCache\ex', STRCAT(TO_STRING(SUB (SYSTEM_TIMESTAMP(), TO_TIMESTAMP( '01-02', 'MM-dd' )), 'yyMMdd'), '.log')

    That does not work (and there may be obvious errors in it). However, even trying a simple change to FROM with a function throws:

    ERROR: The specified FROM-ENTITY is not a filename, a Metabase path nor a ODBC specification: Extra characters at the end of the FROM-ENTITY: '('D:\Program Files\WebLog Expert\LogCache\ex0401*.log')'

    Any help would be appreciated.

    It seems you can not...if you look at the grammar (doc or "logparser -h 1") it doesn't say what "<from-entity>" is defined as....
