Owner not being an Owner after a Group is created RRS feed

  • Question

  • We use a SharePoint list to trigger a Power Automate flow and set up a Team further on.
    Seems when an Owner is added as below, it doesn't add the UnifiedGroupLinks correctly and therefore, the user is an Owner, but doesn't have proper permission to the Group object as one would. Basically, they cannot add a PlannerPlan to the Group, as an example.

    MS Graph Query:
    POST https://graph.microsoft.com/v1.0/groups
    Content-Type: application/json

    {
      "description": "@{body('Update_item')['Title']}- Requested by @{triggerBody()?['Requestedby']?['DisplayName']}",
      "displayName": @{body('Update_item')['Title']},
      "groupTypes": [
        "Unified"
      ],
      "mailEnabled": true,
      "mailNickname": @{variables('MailNicknameNoSpecialChars')},
      "securityEnabled": false,
      "visibility": "Private"
    }

    These Exchange Online PowerShell commands have fixed the problem of the user no being able to create a plan. Bear in mind these worked even though the user was already the Owner.
