discovering open source on Microsoft Azure RRS feed

  • General discussion

  • I'm most working on open source project with AWS. But I recently come across Windows Azure and come to know lots of interesting fact about this and I'm in love with Window Azure and started working with it and also thinking of taking a Azure Certification course from a reputed institute recommended by by colleagues.

I came to know that Microsoft has been working with open source for a while—over ten years already. It started with support for Novell and PHP. Microsoft now supports more than 400 open source projects. It's WOW.

Most attractive for me is that a third of all virtual servers on Microsoft Azure are currently based on Linux. You can easily run numerous Linux solutions on the Microsoft cloud service and we can run anything you like, anywhere you like – on your own database or that of your service provider, or Microsoft data centre.

Please help me explore more recourses about Azure and help me to grow with it.
