Unable to display toast notification from Windows Sevice RRS feed

  • General discussion

  • Hello All,

    In my current scenario, I want to show toast notification from Windows service which is keep running on my PC.

    I looked for Toast notification manager, but it is not available in windows service I guess. So I used

                    notifyicon = new NotifyIcon();
                    notifyicon.Visible = true;
                    notifyicon.Icon = WcfNotificationService.Properties.Resource.mylogo;
                    notifyicon.ShowBalloonTip(15000, NotificationTextHeader,NotificationText, ToolTipIcon.None);

                    notifyicon.BalloonTipClicked += Notifyicon_BalloonTipClicked;
                    notifyicon.BalloonTipClosed += Notifyicon_BalloonTipClosed;

    In Windows 10, it shows a icon in task bar and a Toast(its like balloon in Windows 10) comes and disappears.

    So the problem is, this notification also disappears from Action center. I want to persist this notification in Action center until user explicitly removes it.

    Any suggestion/ help will be really appreciated.

    Thanks,
