Domain and VPN problem RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi All,

I use a laptop in the office that is connected to the Domain,

I also use the same laptop if I work form home (using Cisco VPN client)

    Problem:

When I am at home and I am connected to my company's network (via VPN) everything works fine

When I am not connected to the VPN but have an internet connection I can only browse websites where I do not have to provide any passwords (I can not browse any https or bank or other websites where a password is needed) I also can not ping any destinations by name and Skype does not work either,

Every time after logging in I receive an error message:

'Widows detected that this computer is a part of a domain...'

I tried to fixed the problem using Microsoft tools but still no results

I tried to use google dns settings with no results

I tried to disable windows firewall via control panel and in services, still no results

I tried to restart my router and laptop, still no results,

Second laptop works absolutely fine with the same router

I also tried to use different ISP (mobile internet) but the problem remained

Do not have a clue what the next step would be

Thank you very much for any help

    Regards,

    Seb

  • Problem fixed,

The main reason of this conflict was IE9 which doesn't really want to work with Cisco VPN Client
