Access to management commands RRS feed

  • Question

  • I have contributor role on RESOURCE GROUP, I have an website in this resource group, and I want to check details of website through powerShell, and for that I have given "Get-AzureWebsite" command, after that powershell shows me an error that, I have to set an default subscription, so I have used Select-AzureSubscription, but is not workings because I have only contributor role.

My organization will not give administrator role to me or any role to subscription level.... They can only give role on RESOURCE GROUP

One alternative is user Get-AzureRmWebapp command, but this command will not display instances name for my website that Get-AzureWebsite command will display.

  • You may try these workaround steps:

    Add-AzureRmAccount

    Get-AzureRmSubscription

    Select-AzureRmSubscription -TenantId “xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxx-xxxxx-xxxxxxxxxxx”

Replace the TenantId with the subscription which has Web App.

    Get-AzureRmWebApp
