Windows.close dosen't work on Windows Embedded Handled 6.5 RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi all,

I suppose this problem has been discussed long times ago but, i've not found a workaround.

    I'll try to resume.

We have a web application that works well on Windows CE 5.0 et 6.0.

Behind a button, we have the js code Windows.close which is called to close the application.  That works on Windows C5.0 and CE 6.0 but not on Windows Mobile 6.5 Embedded Handled.  The application cannot be closed (iexplore.exe stay launched).

Because the web application must be in fullscreen mode (to prevent users's undesired actions), this make other applications unreachable if we cannot close the web application.

I suppose the problem comes from a change in Internet Explorer on this OS ?

I also try to start an executable (to kill the iexplore.exe process) but it seems not working.  I think that ActiveX objects are not usable (limited version of Internet Explorer ?).

Does anyone have an idea/workaround ?

    Thanks in advance.
