Currently there is no way to take screenshot and save it as image, or you can find some code from Internet, but the app will be tested as failed by Windows Application Certification Kit.

Jamles' comment is correct for Windows 8. On the Windows 8.1 Preview you can render your Xaml visual tree to a bitmap with the RenderTargetBitmap class.
