Signing assembly error - does not have a strong name

    Question

  • I created my project on AppStudio, then exported it and made some edits in Visual Studio to perfect it.

Now when I tick the box of 'Sign the assembly', I am getting errors. My application compiles fine without signing the assembly.

Error 1 Assembly generation failed -- Referenced assembly 'AppStudio.Common' does not have a strong name C:\Users\Jonas\Downloads\App (5)\AppStudio.Windows\CSC ThinkScopes.Windows

Error 2 Assembly generation failed -- Referenced assembly 'ThinkScopes.Data' does not have a strong name C:\Users\Jonas\Downloads\App (5)\AppStudio.Windows\CSC ThinkScopes.Windows

This is my first Windows Store project. I only have experience with Windows Forms.

What I already tried is generating a *.snk file, using 'sn.exe -k thinkscopes.snk'.
Then I used this to sign the assembly but the issue is still there.
