Is it necessary to get the store app certified by a tester RRS feed

  • Question

  • My company is working on an enterprise app meant to be used by a specific industry. It is not a general public app. Now , is it mandatory for us to get our app certified by a tester. I see that there is an option that says include notes for testers.

Our App has a login interface, and I'd then have to give a username , password details. Is this step really required ?? Android platform never had any issues like that. Not sure why Microsoft wants to manually test every app.

  • You only need to upload for certification if you publish through the store.

If you side load then you are in charge of signing your own app. Passing the WACK is recommended, but you would run it yourself.
