How to immediately start typing in a sheet after executing the code in a command button without using the mouse click RRS feed

  • Question

  • So I have a command button "TodaysDate" which puts today's date in a cell. I want to immediately start typing in the cell to the right of the original cell(date cell) without first using the mouse to click onto that cell. Is it possible? I cannot seem to figure it out.

    Thanks, JoeK

  • Let me explain a little better. I have a form with command buttons on it, 'today', 'yesterday', 'tomorrow', etc.

If I am on cell(1,1), and click the 'today' button, today's date is entered in cell(1,1) and I programmatically select cell(1,2). However I still have to use my mouse to click on cell(1,2) before typing. I do not want to have to use the mouse to click on cell(1,2). I want to do it programmatically and not use the mouse. And I cannot figure out how to do it.

    Thanks

I tried several things but no go.
You might want to use a Date Picker?

(I have a free date picker at MediaFire)
