Where to find FBWFNET.dll RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello,

I'm trying to create my own FBWF manager tool in C# and I see examples in Sean's book but have no idea where to find FBWFNET.dll that he's referring to.  Searched the target system and my development system and nothing.

    Please advice.

    Thanks!

  • The DLL is something I created as part of the exercise. The source code and prebuilt binary are in Chapter 6 of the book exercises. Check the link at the bottom of the page: http://annabooks.com/Book_PGWES7.html

The DLL provides the P/Invoke interface for the FBWFAPIMFC.DLL, which performs the actual FBWF API calls.

  • If you have the WES7 tools installed the ewfapi.lib should be in the C:\Program Files (x86)\Windows Embedded Standard 7\EmbeddedSDK\lib folder

    Hi Sean,

I need to rebuild FBWFAPIMFC.DLL in x64 because as it stands it won't work when I try to call it from my x64 app.  When I tried to rebuild it, I got this error:

Error LNK1181 cannot open input file 'C:\WES2011\Book\Exercises\Lab6\EWFAPIMFC\lib\x86\ewfapi.lib'

I Googled this file and found your article here:

    https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/previous-versions/windows/embedded/ms838476(v%3dwinembedded.5)

But unfortunately Q818822 is not availbale anymore.  All Microsoft links are simply dead.  Do you happen to have it somewhere on your website?  It would be really helpful!  Thank you!
