Windows Vista lost several features from Windows XP RRS feed

  • Question

  • These operations are not so easy or possible as they were in Windows XP:

    1. drag a file or folder to a command prompt window dows not copy its full path to the command line
    2. [ALT] + [ENTER] at Windows Explorer Left pannel does not open properties for the folder anymore: must navigate to parent and then go to right pannel
    3. navigatin on explorer left pannel with keyboard does not automatically open selected folder: must now press [ENTER] key for each selected folder
    4. under [CTRL]+[ALT]+[DEL] screen we must press [ALT] + T to open Task Manage: in Windows XP, the [ALT] key was optional
    5. When hibernating Windows does not show progress bar anymore, but only a blank screen
    6. Navigating on Windows Explorer with keyboard is much more difficult: to switch pannels, several [TAB] keys must be pressed (instead of just once or twice)
    7. the down arrow on the right of each column header on right pannel of windows explorer does not help at all!
    8. [BAKSPACE] key does not work as before: must now use [ALT]+[UP], as now it works as [ALT]+[LEFT]
    9. mstsc /console does not work anymore: must use /admin
    10. HelpCtr.exe does not exist: we cannot browse Support Tools documentation anymore

If anyone knows how to change these settings or to warn Microsoft I would be glad.

I do expect that Windows 7 does not have these limitations.

    thanks.

    Furia.
