  • I would say the key Azure piece that was added was connectivity to Azure Service Bus-

Also, BizTalk Server VMs can be hosted in Azure IAAS. For full list of new features in 2013 R2, check this-

    Thanks Arindam

  • Hi Mandar,

Support for BizTalk in Azure comes in two forms: running BizTalk in virtual machines hosted in Azure (Infrastructure as a Service – IaaS) or using BizTalk Services (Platform as a Services – PaaS).

A very good articles which describes setting up of environment and development is Azure BizTalk Services: An Introduction for BizTalk Developers

There are lot of articles available on Technet you can refer to:

Azure BizTalk Services Resources on the TechNet Wiki

All the webcast and videos are available for you at Azure BizTalk Services: Webcasts and Videos

Finally you can try the Tutorials and Samples

  • Hi Mandar,

BizTalk Services provides out-of-the box, cloud to on-premises and line-of-business application integration for SAP, Oracle EBS, SQL Server, and PeopleSoft. It lets you connect with any HTTP, FTP, SFTP, or REST data source. You can route messages by using various Azure artifacts such as Service Bus queues, Topics, SQL Database, and Blob storage. See:

    https://azure.microsoft.com/en-us/services/biztalk-services/

    Have a good day.

    Regards,

    Angie
