For some reason, when I create a webmethod, it doesn't run initially. If I just let the computer sit and then try it an hour later it works. What is going on?

I have WebMethods that work, but not initially. I have to let the computer just sit for a couple of hours, and then they work. I have cleared out the cache in temporary files, and at a total loss as to what to do. Any ideas?

Hi,

Have you tried to see what happens exactly beyond that it "doesn't work". If you understand first how it fails it should be easier to fix.

It happens on your dev box or on the poduction server?

The calling function finds the WebMethod, but the WebMethod doesn't return anything for a while..  The "success' doesn't return an error so the WebMethod is being accessed, but doing an alert on the data returned gets me an undefined. If I wait a couple of hours and run it, it works fine.

I suggest that you could try to press F12 to click the "Network" tab to capture the http request message ,and check if it has any error message occur.
