Windows CE flash partitioning on first boot RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

I have a question on device initialization. I have a WinCE 6.0 R3 image with hive registry. I have a device with NAND flash. The nand flash is clean, it has only the wince.bin file written on it. There aren't partition or any other data on it. I need to start my device in this condition. I'd like to create 2 partitions for the device, one exFAT and the other FAT32 on the nand.

    - How can I do this?

    - Have I to create the partitions before wince starts or I can add some registry keys to force winCE to create partition and initialize all the other things?

    Thanks a lot.

    Best Regards.

  • Hi, Just a guess may be BP_OpenPartition can help you to do so in Boot-Loader. If you have BSP for OMAP3530 you can refer that for how to use it. Thank You & Regards, GSR
