  • Hi,

     

    Which one is the best .NET profiler for both performance and tracing memory leaks?

    using DotTrace at the moment as test but before buying we want to be sure we have picked the right one.

  • The best profiler is the one that tells you what you need to know.  DotTrace is a fine product, Antz has fanz in the pantz too.

  • Another profiler I use is the 'EQATEC profiler', completely free:
    http://www.eqatec.com/tools/profiler

    I use it primarily for Compact Framework profiling, but it works also for the full .net framework

  • Antz is great but expensive. Having a few developers in your company equipped with ants isn't a bad idea :)

    YourKit Profiler for .NET is good too. It is based on experience with java profiling.

  • Best tool that we have used is SpeedTrace.
    It actually help us in many ways during our development stage..
    It does not only do performance analysis, but also resolve the root cause of runtime issues we had.
