Creating non clustered indexes taking longer time in sql server 2012 RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

We have recently migrated from Sql server 2008 r2 to Sql server 2012. As a part of migration we have upgraded the hardware in the new server to use 8 GB RAM and 4 processors. Sql memory has also been set up to use 65535 mb.

In spite of having lesser hardware specifications when compared to the new server the creation of non clustered indexes  is faster in sql server 2008 r2 when compared to sql server 2012. Any inputs on what is the issue and how to resolve this ?
