Is it still impossible to get accent brush in a universal phone app? RRS feed

  • Question

  • That's the question. Is there still no equivalent of {StaticResource PhoneAccentBrush} in Universal apps? Or is there a way to get it in c#?

    Thanks for the help

  • It depends on what you mean. Windows Store apps use their own branding and do not have access to the user's theme color. Windows Phone apps can get the theme color. The code you posted is for Silverlight. Windows Phone Runtime apps use a ThemeResource for this. You can find these brushes in the designer if you set the style from the property pane in the Windows Phone project in your Universal solution.
