WPF - Navigate between XAMLs RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi!

Suppose that I create a new WPF application (not a SketchFlow). Then I add multiple xaml windows (each corresponding to a screen/window), how can I navigate between them, or just present their content by clicking a button?

Do I need to replace windows by frames?.. Do I need to make states instead of windows?.. A storyboard?.. I just want to show a different screen when I click a button. It's an essential issue for any application but I cannot figure it out. Can you guys teach me the correct way to do this?

Note: I'm not asking how to convert a sketch to a production.

  • Do you want these "windows" to appear within the main app window, or do you want actual windows / dialogs popping up?

  • You can create an empty Grid-Control in which you add your UserControls.
When changing the Content you have to remove the old one bevore adding the new Control.
