Customized Appbar Icons

Question

Hi,

I was going over this post (http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/winappsuidesign/thread/4ad4d4d0-e7e0-4689-98d6-379a0b38cfbb) about appbar icons.

I am just wonderring, what if I want to have a icon that is not in the Character Map and how do I make it possible to use my customized icon for a appbar button?

You can simply create your own image and use that instead of a button.  You will need to animate the pushed and provided a disabled image as well.

PS: I just published how to animate a push effect on a div.  You can use that for your custom icon as well:
