Changing active workflow custom status RRS feed

  • Question

  • I've been using my workflow with custom statuses defined like this for a while.

    <ExtendedStatusColumnValues>

    <StatusColumnValue>Approved</StatusColumnValue>

    <StatusColumnValue>Rejected</StatusColumnValue>

    </ExtendedStatusColumnValues>

    Recently I got a request from our users to rename Rejected to Not Approved.

    I know I can do it by reinstalling the workflow through its feature, but I'll need to complete all open tasks before doing it, so I don't loose link between tasks and workflow instances.

    Just wondering if it is possible to rename custom statuses of existing (and running) workflows instances via object model without stopping and reinstalling the worklfows ?

  • Hi Leonid,

    I think it would make things more complex if you want do this, which may not worth it.
