Live Maps x Bing Maps

Question
-
I am from Brazil and I have a problem.
I am newbie with Live Maps and Bing Maps.
I would like to know whats diference between live maps and bing maps?
I can find bing maps API and I can use it to generate routes.
But when I generate a route in live maps site the result was different of bing maps site. So, I think that Live Maps is better than Bing Maps.
Where can I find APIs of live maps to download them?
Thanks and sorry about my english.

Live Maps is the old name for the consumer mapping website from Microsoft. The name of the technology on which it was based was called Virtual Earth.
Live Maps and Virtual Earth have both now been rebranded as "Bing Maps".

In addition it is likely that the Live Map is setting the culture for you and as a result the geocoding will probably be better for you. If you are creating a Bing Map app you will need to set the culture of the control: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc469974.aspx For the most part Live Maps and Bing Maps use the same underlying data and technology.

Ok ...
Thanks for the answers but I still have a question.
I have two adress :
Start :"rua tatui, sao jose dos campos, Brazil"
Ending :"rua lobélias, sao jose dos campos, Brazil"
When I put these adress in Live Maps site I get an answer when I put the same in Bing Maps site I get another even when I click on "shortest distance" option.
How can be this possible if they both use the same data, and the same technology?
