Custom acknowledgement in biztalk 2010? RRS feed

  • Question

  • Need to create an custom acknowledgement similar to biztalk inbuilt 977 acknowledgement.

I am planning to do this in the IBaseMessage IComponent.Execute(IPipelineContext pContext, IBaseMessage pInMsg) method.

    Is this the correct approach?

Can anyone tell me if there is a better/different approach?

  • If the acknowledgment is similar to a 977 then you can utilize the out-of-box ack and map to the custom schema before sending it out.

  • I think you could achieve in custom pipeline. If you have enough number of free time then worth to put it in development and Testing.

If not would suggest do the ACK with the help of Orchestration/Map/WCF Service.

  • Promote following 2 properties of the Request Message in Receive Pipeline of the Request-Response Receive Location

    http://schemas.microsoft.com/BizTalk/2003/system-properties.EpmRRCorrelationToken
    And
    http://schemas.microsoft.com/BizTalk/2003/system-properties.RouteDirectToTP

This will let the message picked up and you can write your own logic for Ack..
