lightswitch error object reference not set to an intance of an object RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi, I am new to lightswitch apps. When i try create my residential1st lightswitch app from the tutorial and debug i get the famous error it seems. Once i close it ,the solution is built, but in the background i see the add buttons is missing. Therefore i suspect something is missing in the code or table. I followed all the steps over and over. Am i missing an update of some sort? Running vs12 ultimate Silverlight 5 Framework 4.5 Ctp 2 update and updated to rtm Regards Will

Which step are you getting the error? Can you see what line of code the error is happening on? (The debugger should stop when the error occurs) If you can paste the full exception text and stack trace that would give me something to go on.
