Using winusb for standard keyboard! RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello,

I want to test my winusb application and try to figure out my code for writepipe and readpipe works or not.

But trying it on standard keyboard is not possible, Is there a way I can disable driver for my standard keyboard ans use winusb to detect it??

    Please guide me.

  • Just like with your other device, you must write an inf that matches the hardware ID (USB\Xxxxx) to install winusb. If you are doing the install through device manager, make sure to view by connection and install the driver on the parent device (there will be a child keyboard device), the one in the HID device class (not the one in the keyboard device class)
