Speed of Visual Studio with code errors in Razor Pages

The little red underlines that come across when there is a code error in Visual Studio 2019 seem to take forever to clear when you fix the code error.

I am using 2019 Professional v 16.7 in a ASP.Net Core Razor 3.1 application.

PC hardware isn't the problem, I5 with 32GB ram and SSD.  

Has anybody else noticed this?

Hi,

You have the same behavior in MVC views? Seems to take a couple of seconds here with 16 Gb. Try to always be accurate ie which kind of coding errors and what means "forever". 10 seconds or more or do you mean it goes away only on the next run?

A common advice is to use https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/visualstudio/ide/reference/safemode-devenv-exe?view=vs-2019 to disable 3rd party extensions and see if it makes a difference and/or https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/visualstudio/ide/reference/log-devenv-exe?view=vs-2019 to see if the log shows something special.

Edit: another common suggestion is to try to clean up temp files or to see if you have the same behavior for all projects and/or see what happens with a brand new project to see if it is a VS wide issue or something particular to a project (or old projects maybe ?)
