Support for a Package Repository for the Intel Galileo RRS feed

  • Question

  • On the Linux side, the Intel Galileo community has setup a Yocto package repository that hosts and deploys precompiled binaries such as nodejs for the Galileo. The precompiled binaries are necessary for the Galileo since normal X86 binaries won't run unless they've been targeted to the i586 architecture that the quark uses. Are there any plans to introduce something similar on the Windows side?

If there are plans to make PowerShell work on the Galileo; Leveraging OneGet developed by the PowerShell team would be an attractive option since it's been designed from the ground up to handle package discovery and deployment on Windows.
