  • Hi Dhinakaran,

It is possible to sync SQL Ce and a SQL Server using SyncFx 4.0 CTP but we dont provide out of the box support for non-silverlight clients. You would have to write your own client implemntation of the Odata + sync protocol. Please refer to the Windows Mobile 6.5 sample that ships with the CTP.

Alternatively, you can also consider SyncFx 2.1 for this purpose. SyncFx 2.1 has a provider for SqlCe.

  • Hi Waqar Sher Bhatti,

SyncFx 4.0 CTP defines an HTTP based sync protocol that uses OData as the wire format. The components that we provide in the CTP to build the service are developed on top of WCF and exposed as a REST like interface.

As I had mentioned in the last post, it is possible to use this for non-silverlight clients including SQL CE on the desktop but we dont provide any out of the box components for this. The best reference at this point would be to look at the Windows Mobile 6.5 sample that ships with the CTP and write the client implementation for SQL CE.

    Hope this helps!

Any help will be appreciated greatly.
