Get started to programm on Hyper-V RRS feed

  • Question

  • I am going to program on Hyper-V. My destination is to create a Virtual Hard Disk according to the development environments you need to settup in the virtual machine automatically, which will largely improve the efficiency to settup the development environment in software company.

Unfornately, I have been focusing on the information for a few days, now I am still confused, for the following respects:

    1. I know that maybe I need to use WMI classes, but I do not know how to use it

    2. I am aware that some relationships lies between WMI classes and SQL language, what is it?

    3. According to the MSDN samples aimed to create a virtual hard disk, but it seems that do not work. The sample even do not ask the user to input the path and name of the virtual hard disk.

    4. Microsoft provides CIM studio to improve the program at Hyper-V, what role does it play? and what about so many classes in it?

    Anyone can give some guidelines?

    Thanks a lot~~~
