Elapsed time display within UpdateProgress ProgressTemplate? RRS feed

    I'm using Visual Web Developer 2010 Express with SQL Server 2008 Express, VB.

    I would like to know if anyone has successfully implemented an elapsed time display within an UpdateProgress ProgressTemplate?  Is this even possible?  The experiments I've run have all ended in failure.

    My code as it stands now (without elapsed time display):

                        <br /><asp:UpdateProgress ID="UpdateProgress1" runat="server" DisplayAfter="0" AssociatedUpdatePanelID="UpdatePanel1">
                            <ProgressTemplate>
                                <script type="text/javascript">
                                    document.write("<div class='UpdateProgressBackground'></div>");</script>
                                <center><div class="UpdateProgressContent"
                                        style="border-width: 1px; border-style: double; background-color: #FFFFFF; font-weight: bold; left: 572px; height: 29px;">
                                    Transfer to MS-Access in process...
                                <asp:Image id="CapWait" runat="server" ImageUrl="~/Images/progress.gif"/>
                                <br />
                                    (This may take several minutes to complete!)
                                </div></center>
                            </ProgressTemplate>
                        </asp:UpdateProgress>

    Thanks!
